UNT ACET RCMC Competition and 3rd for Outstanding NAHB student chapter of 2013.
The Association of Construction Engineering and Technology sponsored 6 students to travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Residential Construction Management Competition. It was a great learning experience for the students and made the bond among them stronger. They went to the convention, IBS show, and attended the career fair. They also got to work with new softwares and upcoming technology in the construction industry. They presented their RCMC project under the guidance of Dr. Diane Desimone who coached, and advised them through the project. Although they did not place in the top 4, the real world experience they gained was well worth it. UNT ACET placed third for outstanding NAHB student chapter of 2013 and walked away with a trophy and money. We are thankful for having amazing ACET members helping us reach this level of success.

UNT Students Become LEED Green Associates (Spring 2012)
Diego Jimenez, Mike Newby, and Greg Severn went above and beyond to make their senior design project more than just a project. The three of them took an extensive course with EverBlue, studied rigorously, and together passed the LEED Green Associate Accreditation Exam. They applied their knowledge from the course to their senior design project to perform an accurate and precise analysis of the Woodway Baptist Student Ministry that raised the bar in the quality of green building. These three students are now even more valuable in the industry with their degree from UNT and their LEED Green Associate accreditation.
